In February 2025, ACTAI Global once again made history with the second edition of ACTAI Asia Pacific, held on the private island of Pangulasian, El Nido, Philippines. Visionaries, founders, investors, and ocean guardians from over 20 nations gathered for a transformative week of meaningful connection, bold action, and unforgettable adventure.
Led by Bill Tai and Maria Serafica and made possible through the support of the Ayala Corporation, this year’s gathering brought together conversations on AI agents, energy credits, data infrastructure, sustainable fashion, and preserving the Coral Triangle.
The event also included ACTAI Global’s AI Competition, where innovative minds showcased how technology, guided by human values, can drive positive change. Contestants from over thirteen countries participated in the global competition and the event showcased the top six finalists to the stage. We proudly celebrated KIVA.ai and Fast.ai as our AI tech competition winners, whose groundbreaking solutions were later featured on NYSE Wired. Judges included Bill Tai, Lars Rasmussen, Patrick Chang, Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, and Mariana Zobel de Ayala.
The week’s vibrant energy continued with electrifying entertainment by APL De Ap and Matt Sorum, a stunning fashion show spotlighting local creativity, and immersive cultural experiences. Attendees sailed catamarans, paddled through emerald lagoons, savored island-inspired cuisine, and danced under the stars, all while embracing the warmth and spirit of Filipino hospitality.
This year, ACTAI Global strengthened its commitment to conservation and grassroots philanthropy by supporting the Earth School, Dr. Licuanan’s coral reef research in El Nido, and WWF Philippines. Together, these partnerships advance critical ocean stewardship and environmental education across the region.
ACTAI Asia Pacific 2025 was more than an event—it was a movement, sparking global friendships, revolutionary ideas, and collective action to protect our oceans and our future.
Generously sponsored by Ayala Corporation, Bank of the Philippines, GCash, Powerledger, and Permacity Foundation.
